Links I Like…

This week’s list of kinda related links… at least I’m not including videos of cats! Demographics, Urban Forms and Public Art Downtown Minneapolis is unexpectedly swelling with kids and families; this I supported by Census data that shows 25-34 year olds are moving into the city and young middle-aged couples (35-44 year olds) moving to the suburbs from cities. I Saw the Signs and They Opened Up My Eyes

I started noticing community-made signage in June on my trip to Portland, OR to participate in the Village Building Convergence (more on that in a future blog post). And by noticing, I mean documenting. Whatever happened to good teen movies? Seriously. The kids these days don’t know what they’re missing! It seems like all of the great coming of age, telling the story of one crazy night, learning about love and pyromania movies came out when I was a tween and teenager. Reality Bites, Can’t Hardly Wait, Heathers, 10 Things I Hate about You, Dazed and Confused, Empire Records, Clueless, Jawbreaker, The Craft, Slums of Beverly Hills… hey, even Blue Crush and Bring it On.
